Why I love what I do:
I am a bold, strong, independent woman who is hyperactive by nature and loves to live life! I am a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, and am excited that football season is finally here! I am incredibly thankful that in my career, I have the opportunity to do what I love to do. Being a part of the Coastal Bend Blood Center is a dream for me. My career has always played a vital part in my life, and the fact that I am able to give back to my community through my job is just incredible.

I graduated with my degrees in marketing and public relations here at Texas A&M Corpus Christi (go Islanders), and have been doing this for the past eight years now. I have been involved in my community and giving back ever since I was a little girl. Having the opportunity to meet a variety of individuals on a daily basis is ideal for me. I am not only able to give back and be a servant leader in my community, but also build relationships with these individuals.

I believe my purpose in life is to inspire and influence others, whether it be through servant leadership in my community or continuing to encourage self-worth, empowerment and dedication in whatever one’s striving for in life. I am certain that through hard work, dedication and passion, you can be successful in whatever your heart desires. Life is important, but what is more important is the impact you have on other lives. These involvements that I have been fortunate to be a part of are truly priceless and what makes what I do all worth it.

My philosophy:
Being born and raised here in Corpus Christi, I love my city and I look forward to all the great things to come here. I believe as a community, we need to unite and empower each other more, especially us women. I am strong in my views when it comes to women empowerment and building each other up instead of the contrary. I look forward to being a positive guidance in this matter and continuing to assist my community moving forward.

Words to live by:
If you know me, you know I have many words to live by. My faith is the key part of my life; this is what brings peace and saneness in my day-to-day experiences. My grandmother, who is my hero and the epitome of a resilient woman, brought me up to be strong in my faith, as well as with so many empowering words to live by. It is difficult to choose one. If I had to decide on one, it would be: “Your greatness is not what you have; it is what you give.”

Life is about giving, not receiving. Put others before yourself, and you will live a blessed, fulfilling life. I have come to realize this more as I have become older. These are wise words that I will continue to live by.
